Someone dented my car at work. It must've been the red car I've seen parked next to me at lunch, according to the red marks on my door. There was no damage at lunch, so it happened between 2 and 4 pm. Do you think I'd make a good detective? ;D
They didn't leave a note or anything. Now, I would understand the motivations for 'doing a runner' on a supermarket car park or something, where you may not see that person ever again. But work? Come on. The car park is monitored by CCTV cameras!
This is what I decided to do. Tomorrow morning I'll ask the reception if anyone left a note for me (I doubt it); I'll discuss the incident with my managers and get their permission to sent an all-staff email. In that email, I'll probably say that unless the owner of that red car approaches me before Monday afternoon to negotiate, I'm reporting this to the police. I do hope it won't come to that, because you know what the police are going to say about such a minor incident! >:(
I still can't believe they just drove off. They'll soon find out that they messed with the wrong person. Muahaha.

Irresponsible BERKS who never admit to responsibility, leaving the decent to pick up the tab repairs to the damage done to their cars which reflects in inflated insurance premiums sucks ENORMOUSLY. I'd really like to think that the person concerned would come forward and admit to liablity but, bieng a cynical sort of minx at the moment, I'd have to say that I doubt it, unless they are reading this and prepared to prove me wrong!!.
(PS: I do hope CCTV was recording - or if it is the real deal and not a fake; it wasn't when my car got willfully sratched and dented when I first bought it. Worst of ALL, I had the strongest suspcicion as to the guilty party - a VERY jealous work colleague - but couldnt PROVE it!! ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!!)
That's terrible!!! What did you do???
Oh dear... I'm hoping that our CCTV cameras are real! :( We are based right next to a footbal stadium, so I suppose that's one justification for having proper surveillance. But you never know...
Feeling bad for your poor car, Andro. Is this the cute little yellow one? Let's hope you get to the bottom of the 'ding n run'.
Andropov,
When you send your email, make sure you sign it is Andropov, Barrister.

Thanks, Michael. Yea, it is cute and yellow, so I can't imagine why would someone do this to it! :( This is actually a second 'hit and run' incident. I was away then, and I left my car parked on the side of the road, as usual. Someone must've been giving way and caught my bumper when pulling out, so... I was not impressed when I found the horrible black scratches; luckily, they caught the plastic bit so it won't rust... Still, it's NOT FAIR!
Anyway, I'll keep you updated on the recent case!
Tony, you won't tell the Bar Council, will you?! :D
Andropov,
No, your secret will be safe with me. I would also throw in something along the lines of hit and run being a 'Whatever section offence' and throw in a suggested prison sentence for anyone caught doing it.
Samples of the red paint have been sent to a forensic company that assisted you on your BVC to crack the mystery of the Marie Celeste and if they are not worried, they should be.
Police Armed Response vehicles will be on site at 1pm Monday unles a full confession is mde by 12.30.
That should do it.

Someone did that to my mum’s car in a supermarket car park. It happened in a store I used to work in, so asked my friend in security if it was on camera...it was and the culprit had the police turn up on their doorstep! That’s what I call justice!
I'm sorry but the phrase 'No shit, Sherlock' keeps springing to mind.
I'll get back on my meds.
Tony, fancy denting your car! :o
Oliver, I'm glad you caught them! :)
WR: dig deeper, Watson :P
